One day courses where you will learn to make a variety of items to decorate your home and garden. Participants are shown how to weave with a selection of different willow using a variety of different techniques. Full instructions and all tools and materials are provided. Suitable for complete beginners and lots of fun.
Unless stated otherwise, all courses start at 10.00 am and finish at 4.00 pm and cost £40, which includes all the materials required. All courses are held at Pinetum Park & Pine Lodge Gardens, St Austell.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake are provided, but you’ll need to either bring a packed lunch or adjourn to the tea-room on site.
Covers a variety of willow weaving techniques using dried willow. Come and spend a lovely therapeutic day working with willow. You will learn basic techniques and make at least three items to take home with you and decorate your home and garden, to include hoops, hearts, fish and bird feeders. Lovely introduction into willow weaving.
Willow Sculpture
Covers a variety of willow weaving techniques using dried willow. You will learn how to design and create a small animal or bird sculpture. This course encourages a free and experimental approach.
Willow Sunflowers and Snails
Covers a variety of willow weaving techniques using dried willow. Come and learn how to make a lovely plaited snail and a beautiful large sunflower to decorate your garden.
Places are limited are groups are kept small, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
