We run regular basket making courses in St Austell, suitable for complete beginners and those who want to progress and develop their skills. BASKETRY FOR BEGINNERS These courses are a lovely introduction into basket making and are suitable for complete beginners. Making your own basket is hugely satisfying and very relaxing and therapeutic. Participants are shown how to weave with a selection of different willow using a variety of different traditional techniques. All courses are held at Pinetum Park & Pine Lodge Gardens, St Austell. All courses start at 10.00 am and finish at 4.30 pm and cost £40, which includes all the tools and materials required. Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake are provided, but you’ll need to either bring a packed lunch or adjourn to the fantastic tea-room in the gardens.
Places are limited are groups are kept small, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
