Ways with Willow is a ‘for more than profit’ social enterprise based in Fowey, South Cornwall. We provide beginner’s willow courses and workshops throughout the wider social community of Cornwall.
We work with people of all ages, from all backgrounds; from schools and colleges to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, and specialise in working with people with learning disabilities, mental health sufferers, and victims of domestic abuse.
Working with willow is very therapeutic and good for emotional and physical well-being
Ways with Willow works with both dried and living willow, and all of our courses are lots of fun! Everyone loves the traditional craft of willow weaving, from children to adults. What could be more satisfying than making your own willow sculpture to take home with you!
We work with:
- Schools/colleges
- Day centres within adult social care
- People with learning disabilities
- Mental health sufferers
- Victims of domestic abuse
- Residential homes
- Blind and partially sighted people
- Community groups and projects
- Other groups engaging vulnerable or disadvantaged people
- Event co-ordinators
Individual workshops can be structured to suit your specific requirements and the need of the attendees. Please contact us for more details.
A non-profit organisation, Ways with Willow actively works to engage participants who do not normally have access to main-stream activities.
Many disadvantaged and vulnerable people are denied opportunities; we aim to provide those opportunities, and help to enhance lives.
Working with willow, we want to encourage social inclusion, promote independence and help improve self confidence and self esteem.
All courses and workshops are led by Sian Hill, who is experienced in working with disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.
All staff and volunteers have a full enhanced CRB check. Fully insured.
